State Level – Sudan Divestment We believe that our tax and retirement dollars should not support companies that fund genocide in Darfur. Working with the Sudan Divestment Task Force, our local coalition is working to pass AB124 and SB57 through the Wisconsin State Legislature. Please call Governor Jim Doyle at 608-266-1212 or your State Senator and State Representative at 1-800-362-9472 and ask them to support Sudan Divestment. You can also email info@darfuractioncoalition.org or call 414-433-4365. 2. National Level – Move President Bush into action We believe the President can do more to help end the genocide in Darfur. Send a message to President Bush that the time for action is now. 3. International Level – Move Ban-Ki Moon to further action We believe that a stronger multi-national force, with the authority to stop genocide, is necessary to help end the genocide in Darfur. Send a message to U.N. Secretary-General Ban Ki-Moon to continue to make Darfur a top priority. 4. Humanitarian Relief – GIVE GENEROUSLY We believe that the best way to support humanitarian relief is to support stronger activity by government. Political action can result in the greatest amount of humanitarian relief for the suffering people of Darfur. Therefore, we ask your financial support of the Darfur Action Coalition, to help support our work to make ending the genocide and providing humanitarian relief a political priority. We also believe that donations to international humanitarian groups can make a difference.
